2. Collection and Use of Personal Information
3.1. In order to register with us and become a Registered User and use the Services, we need to collect and process some personal information. Depending on your use of the Services, that may include:
(i) information (such as your name, email and postal addresses, telephone number, and country/city of residence) that you provide by registering with Newzulu, including if you become a Registered User, subscribe to our newsletters, use or license any of the Service, or request any information;
(ii) your login and password details, in connection with the Account sign-in process;
(iii) details of any requests or transactions you make through the Services;
(iv) information about your activity on and interaction with Newzulu, such as your IP address and the type of device or browser you use;
(v) communications you send to us (for example, when you ask for support, send us questions or comments, or report a problem); and
(vi) information that you submit to Newzulu in the form of comments, contributions to discussions, or messages to other Users.
3.2. You do not have to be a Registered User to visit the Websites or use the Services however you may have to register in order to use the Services, and make full use of the Services. We use this registration information to identify you, provide the Services to you, and to otherwise administer your Account.
3.3. Once you register, you will have an Account with Newzulu and a password to access that Account. You must not use another person’s Account without permission and you may not use anyone else’s password. We recommend that you always log out from your Account at the end of a session to prevent other people from accessing your Account without your permission. You are obliged to provide true and accurate information in your public profile and any breach of this may result in provision of the Services to you being suspended. You are solely responsible for any activity occurring on your Account.
4. Use of Information
4.1. The following data will not be publicly displayed or revealed to other Users:
- any payment information you provide
- your password details
- your IP address
- your phone number
- communications you send to us
4.2. We do not give your personal information to any third-party services, except when it’s necessary to provide the Services (like when we partner with payment processors, for example Stripe). When we share data with third-party services that support our delivery of the Services, we require that they protect your personal information to the same standards we do.
4.3. We do reserve the right to disclose personal information when we believe that doing so is reasonably necessary to comply with the law or law enforcement, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to protect Newzulu’s legal rights.
4.4. When you upload User Content to the Services we may also collect the following information in order to correctly verify and validate images:
- location, date and time the image or video was taken and sent to us;
- the make and model of the device;
- whether the Content has been edited by you;
- how many times you have uploaded Content to our Services; and
- whether previous Content has been validated, deleted or sold by us.
If we make a sale of your User Content, we may also request additional information from you, such as your banking or PayPal account details, in order to make a payment to you.
5. Your Public Profile
5.2. You can review the personal information you provide to us and make changes to the information you publish, or to the settings for your Account, at any time by logging in to your Account on the website. Please be aware that even after your request for change has been processed we may, for a short time, retain residual information about you in the backup and/or archival copies of the database.
6. Email Communications
We may collect certain personal information (such as first and last name and email address) to send you email communications about news, press publications and our Website. You can unsubscribe from our email communications by following the instructions in our communications or by contacting us as set out in section 19, below.
7. Interactive Services
Our Services may contain interactive areas, including but not limited to discussion forums, blogs, chat rooms, message boards, or other areas in which you or third parties post or store content, messages, comments, materials or other items (“Interactive Services”). In order to participate in these Interactive Services we may request certain personal information such as your name and email address. We may use your comments to monitor and/or improve our Services. Please remember that any information that you provide in these Interactive Services are accessible to all Users of the Services, and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose any personal information about yourself or anyone else.

If you choose to contact us with a comment, suggestion or feedback, we may collect your name, e-mail address, mobile number and the comments, suggestions or feedback you provide. We may also disclose personal information where necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
9.3. Sale of Business: We may transfer any information we have about you as an asset in connection with a merger or sale (including transfers made as part of insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings) involving all or part of Newzulu or as part of a corporate reorganization or other change in corporate control.
10. Storing Your Personal Information
In operating our website it may become necessary to transfer data that we collect from you to locations outside of your jurisdiction of residence for processing and storing, including the United States and the European Union. By providing your personal information to us, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We do our upmost to ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to make sure that your data is treated and stored securely.

We have implemented reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information in our custody and control from unauthorized access, use, modification and disclosure of personal information in our custody and control. However, sending of information via the internet is not totally secure and on occasion such information can be intercepted. We cannot guarantee the security of data that you choose to send us electronically, sending such information is entirely at your own risk.
12.2. We may also gather information about your use of our Websites by using cookies. Where used, these cookies are downloaded to your computer and stored on the computer’s hard drive. We use the information obtained from cookies to let us know who you are and personalize our Websites in accordance with your preferences.
12.3. You can adjust the settings on your computer to decline any cookies if you wish. This can easily be done by activating the ‘reject cookies’ setting on your computer. Please note that if you decide not to accept cookies from our Websites, you may not be able to take advantage of all of the features of our Websites.

We will not solicit or collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are under 18, you may not use or enter information on the Services, including without limitation, any Interactive Areas of the Websites.

Please ensure all of your personal information is up to date. Where required to do so by law, we will correct, amend or delete any personal information that you notify us is inaccurate and will notify any third party recipients of necessary changes.
16. Disable Account or Unsubscribe
If you no longer wish to receive information from us and would like to be removed from our mailing list, or if you are a Registered User and you would like to disable your Account, you can make a request by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by writing to us at the postal address below. We will endeavor to reply to your request as soon as possible, within a reasonable time and subject to any pending payments.

If you are a Registered User, you can access and update certain of your personal information through your Account. Please note that, where permitted by law, we reserve the right to charge a small fee to cover costs incurred by us in providing you with the information.

In these Terms and Conditions of Use, the following terms have the following meanings, unless otherwise specified:
Account means an account opened by a Registered User through the Websites to allow the Registered User to use the Services.
Newzulu, we, us, our and ours means Newzulu Limited (a company incorporated in the United Kingdom, Company number no. 08427141), whose registered office is at 2 Bath Place Rivington Street, London EC2A 3DR, United Kingdom, and includes all of its subsidiaries, divisions, branches, affiliates or companies under common ownership or control of Newzulu Limited.
Newzulu Content means all of the content displayed or available through the Services including, but not limited to, all names, logos, trade marks (whether registered or unregistered), Website design, databases, computer codes, text, graphics, data, photographic images, moving images, sound, illustrations, software and the selection and arrangement thereof.
Registered User means a person who creates an Account through the registration process on the Website. In order to create an Account you must enter some personal details (name, email address, city), a login name and a password. A confirmation email will be sent to the Registered User upon submission of the data and acceptance by the Registered User of these Terms.
Services means all Newzulu services, including but not limited to the Websites, apps or any other content, product, service or feature available through the Websites or the apps
Upload and Uploaded means to submit or upload User Content that Newzulu has received in a complete, readable and downloadable form.
User, you and yours means any user of the Services, including Registered Users.
User Content means any contribution that you Upload to the Services, including but not limited to, text, photographs, graphics, video or audio material, or a combination of any of them.
